Volunteers needed to clean small seed quantities f Volunteers needed to clean small seed quantities from our grain trials. With your help we can pass on these rare seeds to other farmers willing to increase seed supply. This is hands on work so dress appropriately for outdoors. Bring a simple dish to share plus personal water and snacks. 
Please register ahead of time.
100% whole grain KAMUT pasta. This grain is incred 100% whole grain KAMUT pasta. This grain is incredibly easy to work with (not sticky at all!) and is a beautiful golden color. Tastes excellent as well!

We are so excited to see @lospoblanos stocking the We are so excited to see @lospoblanos stocking their shelves with NM grown heritage grains both as flour and berries!  They have Tibetan Purple Barley, Danko Rye and Sonoran White wheat all grown in Anthony, NM. 
We sure hope the new Santa Fe outpost will have the same amazing selection!

Harvest festie fun at Los Ranchos Agrinature cente Harvest festie fun at Los Ranchos Agrinature center. Great to share our breads and demo wheat threshing and seed cleaning. Milled up some fresh flour for folks in the trusty Komo Mio countertop mill. @komo.bio
Heritage grain tortillas are WAAAAAAY tastier than Heritage grain tortillas are WAAAAAAY tastier than store bought. Super fun and filling class today with 5 different doughs all 100% whole grain. Sonoran White, Kamut and Einkorn strutted their stuff. Sourdough versions were especially puffy and fun. Thanks to everyone bringing the fermented salsas, Mexican slaw, beans and cheese.

For the past six years, Rio Grande Grain has been trialing heritage grains in fields that are situated in the watershed of the Rio Grande, nestled in the river valley just west of the Truchas Mountains of northern New Mexico. These fields lay in the ancestral lands of the Puebloan peoples, whose wisdom and stewardship of the seeds, soil, water, earth, and wind inspires our gratitude for and honoring of the land and water that has made our work possible and that sustains us all.
